As I Write This....

The Iraqi people are just a few hours from the onset of the voting on the Constitutional Referendum in their country. Please pray for their safety as they vote, for their safety afterwards as they display the sign that they have voted (indelible ink stains on their fingers), and for those who would interfere with this exercise in freedom to be thwarted at every turn. Pray for the Iraqi police force and Iragi Army who will stand on the front lines of protection and for the US and coalition troops who will back them up. The numbers of our troops serving in Iraq are up at the moment, however, they will decrease rapidly over the next 3-4 weeks as many return home. Pray for them as they do, for the reuniting of families, for the adjustments to be made and for their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being as they get back to their usual routines. Pray especially for those serving in the Reserves and National Guard that their jobs and opportunities will be waiting for them and they will be able to go back into their civilian lives easily. Thank you.
